Thank you for this! I never thought I would be asked to ask end users about pricing. I’m a UX Researcher and I’m finding I do “crossover” Marketing research more often than I expected.

I'm seeing this happen more and more, so you're definitely not alone there (hence why I'm doing a whole series on pricing research from the UXR perspective!)

Senior leaders are increasingly using LLMs to figure out what research methods are needed for their objectives rather than asking UXRs to design the methodology from a blank page.

To those senior leaders, you're an in-house researcher and they want research done. They don't tend to see a distinction between UX or Market Research, especially if both approaches are engaging your actual users/customers, so it's unsurprising they're increasingly turning to UXR for this.
